Larnaca International Airport is the busiest airport in Cyprus and serves as the island's main hub for international travel. Situated on the southern coast near the city of Larnaca, it handles the majority of passenger traffic entering and leaving the Republic of Cyprus. The airport underwent significant redevelopment following a concession awarded to Hermes Airports in 2006, which led to the construction of a modern terminal that opened in 2009. This investment substantially expanded capacity and improved passenger facilities. Larnaca serves as the primary base for Cyprus Airways and handles routes connecting Cyprus to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. It shares international traffic with Paphos International Airport, which is located on the western side of the island.

Larnaca International Airport – Glafcos Clerides is an international airport located four kilometres southwest of Larnaca, Cyprus. Larnaca International Airport is Cyprus' main international airport and the larger of the two commercial airports in the area controlled by the Republic of Cyprus and one of the busiest airports in the Middle East. The airport was given its current name in July 2016, in honour of former President of Cyprus (1993–2003) Glafcos Clerides.
