Condor Flugdienst, commonly known as Condor, is a German leisure airline headquartered in Frankfurt am Main. Founded in 1955, the airline operates scheduled and charter flights to holiday destinations across Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia, primarily serving leisure travelers from Germany and other German-speaking countries. Condor has undergone significant ownership changes over the decades, having been part of the Thomas Cook Group before that company's collapse in 2019. Following an insolvency process, Condor was acquired by Polish aviation group Lot Aviation in 2021, which itself is backed by investment firm Indigo Partners. The airline successfully restructured and resumed growth under new ownership. The airline is recognized for its distinctive striped livery introduced in 2019, replacing its long-standing yellow branding. Condor continues to expand its long-haul and medium-haul network, positioning itself as a value-oriented carrier focused on vacation and leisure routes.
