Taichung International Airport, officially known as Ching Chuang Kang Airport (CCK), is a dual-use civil and military airport located in the Qingshui District of Taichung City, Taiwan. It serves as the primary international airport for central Taiwan, offering flights to destinations across East and Southeast Asia. The airport shares its facilities with Ching Chuang Kang Air Base of the Republic of China Air Force, making it one of Taiwan's key joint-use aviation facilities. It underwent significant expansion and upgrades in the early 2000s to accommodate growing passenger demand and to handle larger commercial aircraft. Although smaller than Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Taichung International Airport has grown in importance as a regional hub, particularly for low-cost carriers and charter flights connecting central Taiwan to destinations in mainland China, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
