Hong Kong Express Airways (HK Express) is a low-cost carrier headquartered in Hong Kong, operating scheduled passenger services across Asia. Founded in 2004 and restructured as a budget airline in 2013, it has grown to become Hong Kong's only ultra-low-cost carrier, serving dozens of destinations across East and Southeast Asia. The airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific, which acquired it from HNA Group in 2019. Operating from its hub at Hong Kong International Airport, HK Express targets leisure travelers with competitively priced fares and an unbundled service model typical of low-cost carriers. HK Express has expanded steadily since its low-cost relaunch, building a network that connects Hong Kong to cities in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and other Asian markets. Its fleet consists entirely of Airbus A320-family aircraft, supporting operational efficiency.
