The Airbus A330-300 is a long-range, wide-body twin-engine jet airliner developed by Airbus. It is the longer of the two original A330 variants, offering greater passenger capacity than the A330-200, and entered service in 1994. It competes primarily with the Boeing 767-300ER and 777-200. Powered by two high-bypass turbofan engines from a choice of CFM International, Pratt & Whitney, or Rolls-Royce, the A330-300 is capable of carrying between 250 and 440 passengers depending on cabin configuration. Its fly-by-wire flight controls and commonality with the A340 family help reduce crew training and operating costs. The aircraft has proven popular with carriers across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, serving both high-density regional routes and transcontinental long-haul services. Updated variants under the A330neo program, the A330-900, build on the original design with new Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and aerodynamic improvements.

The Airbus A330 is a wide-body airliner developed and produced by Airbus. Airbus began developing larger A300 derivatives in the mid–1970s, giving rise to the A330 twinjet as well as the Airbus A340 quadjet, and launched both designs along with their first orders in June 1987. The A330-300, the first variant, took its maiden flight in November 1992 and entered service with Air Inter in January 1994. The A330-200, a shortened longer-range variant, followed in 1998 with Canada 3000 as the launch operator.
