Senegal Airlines was a Senegalese national airline that operated as the country's flag carrier following the dissolution of Air Sénégal International in 2009. The airline was established to restore Senegal's presence in international aviation and provide connectivity between Dakar and destinations across Africa and Europe. The airline launched commercial operations around 2011 and operated a modest fleet of aircraft serving regional African routes as well as some intercontinental services. Despite efforts to expand, the carrier faced significant financial and operational challenges throughout its existence. Senegal Airlines ceased operations in 2016 due to financial difficulties and mounting debts. It was subsequently succeeded by Air Sénégal, a new national carrier established by the Senegalese government in 2018 to once again provide flag carrier services for the country.
