Aeroméxico is the flag carrier of Mexico and one of the largest airlines in Latin America. Founded in 1934, it operates an extensive network of domestic and international routes, serving destinations across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The airline is headquartered in Mexico City and uses Benito Juárez International Airport as its primary hub. Aeroméxico is a founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance and has maintained a long-standing codeshare and equity partnership with Delta Air Lines. Aeroméxico filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in June 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic but emerged from bankruptcy in March 2022, restructuring its finances and fleet to position itself for recovery and growth.
