Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport is the main international airport serving Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage city on Croatia's Dalmatian coast. Named after the renowned 18th-century Croatian scientist Ruđer Bošković, the airport handles significant seasonal traffic driven by strong tourism demand. The airport is located approximately 20 kilometres south-east of Dubrovnik's Old Town, near the town of Čilipi. It serves as a key entry point for visitors to southern Dalmatia, including the surrounding islands and the Bay of Kotor region. Passenger numbers fluctuate considerably between summer and winter seasons, with peak traffic concentrated from May through October. The airport has undergone modernisation works to expand capacity in response to growing tourist arrivals.
