Location
Brasília, Brazil
Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport, commonly known as Brasília International Airport and coded BSB, serves as the primary air gateway to Brazil's federal capital, Brasília. It is consistently one of the busiest airports in Brazil by passenger volume, handling tens of millions of travelers annually and connecting the capital to domestic destinations throughout Brazil as well as international routes. The airport is named after Juscelino Kubitschek, the Brazilian president who championed the construction of Brasília in the late 1950s. Its design reflects the modernist architectural tradition that defines the city itself. Operated by Infraero and later partially privatized, the airport underwent significant expansion and modernization in preparation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, boosting its capacity and facilities considerably. Located approximately 11 kilometers southwest of Brasília's city center, the airport features strong domestic connectivity, with most major Brazilian carriers operating frequent flights. Its strategic position in the country's interior makes it an important hub for passengers traveling between Brazil's north, south, and coastal regions.
Terminals
The airport operates with two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, which together handle both domestic and international flights.
Getting to & from
The airport is connected to the city center via the Brasília Metro's green line, taxis, ride-hailing services, and bus routes.
Airlines here
LATAM Airlines and Gol Linhas Aéreas serve as the primary carriers, with Azul Brazilian Airlines and several international airlines including American Airlines and Air France also operating routes.
