Azul Brazilian Airlines is a low-cost carrier founded by JetBlue co-founder David Neeleman in 2008. It rapidly grew to become one of Brazil's largest airlines, distinguished by its focus on connecting underserved cities and regions that other carriers had overlooked. Azul operates an extensive domestic network across Brazil and also offers select international routes to destinations in South America, the United States, and Europe. The airline is headquartered in Barueri, São Paulo state, and uses Campinas' Viracopos International Airport as its primary hub. The carrier went public on the New York Stock Exchange and the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3) in 2017, and has pursued partnerships and codeshare agreements with carriers such as United Airlines and TAP Air Portugal to expand its global reach.
