Salt Lake City, United States
Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is the primary commercial airport serving Salt Lake City, Utah, and the broader Intermountain West region. It sits approximately 4 miles northwest of downtown Salt Lake City at an elevation of about 4,227 feet above sea level, making it one of the higher-elevation major airports in the United States. The airport serves as a major hub for Delta Air Lines and handles tens of millions of passengers annually. A landmark modernization project, branded 'The New SLC,' began replacing the aging terminal complex with a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, with Phase 1 opening in September 2020 and subsequent phases completing the transition. SLC offers both domestic and international routes, connecting Utah to destinations across North America, Europe, and beyond. Its proximity to world-class ski resorts such as Park City and Alta also makes it a major gateway for winter tourism.
Terminals
The airport now operates a single modern terminal complex with two concourses (A and B) built as part of the 'New SLC' redevelopment project, replacing the previous multi-terminal layout.
Getting to & from
The airport is connected to downtown Salt Lake City and the broader metro area via TRAX light rail (the Green Line), buses, taxis, and rideshare services.
Airlines here
Delta Air Lines operates a major hub at SLC, with additional service provided by American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and several international carriers.
