Skopje International Airport, officially known as Skopje Alexander the Great Airport, serves as the main international airport of North Macedonia. The airport has undergone significant modernisation and expansion over the years, with Turkish operator TAV Airports holding a long-term concession to manage and develop the facility. It handles the majority of North Macedonia's international passenger traffic and serves as the primary hub for Wizz Air's North Macedonian operations. Skopje International Airport plays a critical role in the country's tourism and business connectivity, with traffic growing steadily as low-cost carriers expanded routes into the Balkans.
