Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (IATA: LUN, ICAO: FLKK) is the principal international airport of Zambia, located approximately 26 kilometres east of Lusaka's city centre. It serves as the main hub for both domestic and international air travel in the country and handles the majority of Zambia's air passenger and cargo traffic. The airport underwent significant expansion and modernisation, including the construction of a new terminal building that opened in 2016, substantially increasing its passenger handling capacity. The airport is named after Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia's first president, who led the country from independence in 1964 until 1991.
