Cagliari Elmas Airport, officially named Aeroporto di Cagliari-Elmas Mario Mameli, is the primary international airport serving Cagliari, the capital of the Italian island of Sardinia. It is located in the municipality of Elmas, approximately 6 kilometres northwest of the city centre. The airport handles a significant volume of leisure and business traffic, particularly during the summer tourist season when demand from mainland Italy and other European countries surges. It is one of the busiest airports in Italy by passenger numbers during peak periods.
