Air Busan is a South Korean low-cost carrier headquartered in Busan, the country's second-largest city. Founded in 2007 and commencing operations in 2008, the airline was established as a regional carrier to serve routes out of Gimhae International Airport, with Asiana Airlines holding a major ownership stake. The airline primarily operates domestic routes within South Korea as well as short- to medium-haul international routes across Northeast and Southeast Asia, including destinations in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. It has grown steadily since its founding to become one of South Korea's prominent budget carriers.
