Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS/DNMM) is the largest and busiest airport in Nigeria, serving the commercial capital of Lagos. It handles the majority of Nigeria's international passenger and cargo traffic and is a critical hub for West African aviation. The airport is named after former Nigerian head of state General Murtala Muhammed, who was assassinated in 1976. It is operated by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and serves millions of passengers annually. The facility comprises both an international terminal and a domestic terminal complex.
