Ndjili International Airport, officially known as Aéroport International de N'Djili, serves as the main international airport for Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Located approximately 25 kilometers east of the city center in the Ndjili commune, it is the busiest airport in the country and a critical hub for both passenger and cargo traffic in Central Africa. The airport handles flights from major African and international carriers, connecting Kinshasa to destinations across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Its infrastructure has faced challenges over the years, including aging facilities and high traffic demands relative to its capacity, prompting periodic discussions about renovation and expansion. Despite its infrastructure limitations, Ndjili remains indispensable to the DRC's connectivity. It is operated under the authority of the Régie des Voies Aériennes (RVA), the national civil aviation body responsible for managing airports across the country.
