Star Peru was a Peruvian regional airline that operated scheduled passenger and cargo services across Peru. Founded in the late 1990s, the carrier focused on connecting Lima with secondary cities and remote jungle and highland destinations that were difficult to reach by road. The airline operated a modest fleet of turboprop and jet aircraft, serving routes that larger carriers often overlooked. It played an important role in regional connectivity within Peru, particularly to Amazonian communities. Star Peru ceased operations in 2012, citing financial difficulties and intense competition in the Peruvian aviation market.
