South Australia's primary international gateway serving Adelaide.

Opened
1955
Location
Adelaide, Australia
Adelaide Airport, officially Adelaide International Airport, is the primary commercial airport serving Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. Located approximately 7 kilometres west of the Adelaide CBD, it handles both international and domestic traffic under a single integrated terminal building. The airport is operated by Adelaide Airport Limited (AAL), which has held a long-term lease since 1998. It serves as a significant hub for regional South Australia and handles connections to major Australian cities as well as international destinations across Asia, the Middle East, and the Pacific. A major redevelopment program resulted in the opening of a new integrated terminal in 2005, consolidating domestic and international operations into one building and significantly modernising the airport's facilities.
Terminals
Adelaide Airport operates a single integrated terminal building handling both domestic and international passengers, with separate processing areas within the same structure.
Getting to & from
The airport is connected to the Adelaide CBD primarily by road, with the JetBus/SkyLink shuttle service and regular taxi and rideshare options; no direct rail link currently exists.

Major airlines operating at Adelaide include Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia, Rex Regional Express, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Cathay Pacific.
