Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (IATA: ADD, ICAO: HAAB) is Ethiopia's principal international airport, located approximately 6 kilometres southeast of Addis Ababa's city centre. It serves as the primary hub for Ethiopian Airlines, one of Africa's largest and most profitable carriers, and handles the vast majority of Ethiopia's international passenger and cargo traffic. The airport underwent major expansion in recent decades to accommodate rapid growth in Ethiopian Airlines' network. A new Terminal 2 opened in 2019, significantly increasing capacity and modernising passenger facilities. The airport now ranks as one of the busiest in Africa by passenger volume and international connectivity.
