Moi International Airport is the primary airport serving Mombasa, Kenya's second-largest city and a major Indian Ocean port. Located approximately 9 kilometres west of the city centre in the Port Reitz area, it handles a significant volume of both domestic and international traffic, particularly tourists bound for the Kenyan coast. The airport is named after Kenya's second president, Daniel arap Moi, and is operated by the Kenya Airports Authority.
