Shaheen Air International was a Pakistani private airline that operated scheduled domestic and international passenger services. Founded in the 1990s, it grew to become one of Pakistan's larger private carriers, offering flights to destinations across Pakistan as well as select international routes to the Middle East, China, and Central Asia. The airline faced significant financial difficulties over the years, accumulating debts and struggling to maintain consistent operations. In late 2018, the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan suspended Shaheen Air's operating license due to financial insolvency and failure to meet regulatory requirements, effectively ending the airline's operations. At its peak, Shaheen Air operated a fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft and served millions of passengers annually. Its collapse left many employees unpaid and stranded passengers, and the airline was unable to recover from its financial crisis.
