The Boeing 777 is a family of long-range, wide-body, twin-engine jet airliners developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Launched in 1990 and entering service with United Airlines in 1995, it became the world's largest twin-engine commercial aircraft at the time of its introduction and is widely regarded as one of the most successful wide-body airliners ever built. The 777 family includes several variants, such as the 777-200, 777-200ER, 777-200LR, 777-300, and 777-300ER, with the 777-300ER being the most popular. The aircraft features a distinctive circular fuselage cross-section, six-wheel main landing gear bogies, and is the first commercial aircraft designed almost entirely with computer-aided design tools. Boeing developed the next-generation 777X series (777-8 and 777-9) as successors, featuring composite wings, folding wingtips, and new GE9X engines. The 777X was still undergoing certification testing as of the mid-2020s. The original 777 variants remain in widespread service with airlines worldwide.

The Boeing 777, commonly referred to as the Triple Seven, is an American long-range wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The 777 is the world's largest twinjet and the most-built wide-body airliner. The jetliner was designed to bridge the gap between Boeing's other wide body airplanes, the twin-engined 767 and quad-engined 747, and to replace aging DC-10 and L-1011 trijets. Developed in consultation with eight major airlines, the 777 program was launched in October 1990, with an order from United Airlines. The prototype aircraft rolled out in April 1994, and first flew that June. The 777 entered service with the launch operator United Airlines in June 1995. Longer-range variants were launched in 2000, and first delivered in 2004. Over 2,300 Boeing 777 aircraft have been ordered, with over 70 operators worldwide.
