Dr. Antonio Nicolás Briceño Airport, designated by the IATA code VLV and ICAO code SVVL, serves the city of Valera in Trujillo State, northwestern Venezuela. It functions as the primary air access point for the surrounding Andean foothills area, connecting the region to Venezuela's major cities. The airport is named after Dr. Antonio Nicolás Briceño, a notable Venezuelan independence-era figure from the region. Like many Venezuelan regional airports, it has experienced reduced service in recent years due to the country's broader economic challenges and the contraction of the domestic aviation industry.
