Mosul International Airport (IATA: OSM, ICAO: ORBM) serves Mosul, the second-largest city in Iraq and the capital of Nineveh Governorate. The airport is located southwest of the city center and historically served as a key regional hub for northern Iraq before the country's prolonged periods of instability. The airport suffered significant damage during the occupation of Mosul by the Islamic State (ISIS) from 2014 to 2017, during which commercial operations were completely suspended. Following the liberation of Mosul in 2017 by Iraqi and coalition forces, reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts have been ongoing, with intermittent attempts to restore civilian flight operations. As of the early 2020s, the airport's operational status has remained limited and subject to change, with the Iraqi government pursuing plans to restore full international connectivity to the region. The airport holds strategic importance for economic development and reconstruction in northern Iraq.

Mosul International Airport is an airport located at Mosul, capital of Nineveh Governorate, Iraq. It became a civil airport in 1990 with the rebuild of the runway and construction of a new terminal. After undergoing major renovations to be able to reach international standards and category 1 status, it reopened as a civilian airport on 2 December 2007. On 9 June 2014, it was captured by militants from ISIL.
