Matsapha International Airport (IATA: MTS, ICAO: FDMS) is the main commercial airport serving the Kingdom of Eswatini, located near the industrial city of Manzini and approximately 40 kilometres from the capital Mbabane. It handles the majority of the country's international and domestic air traffic. The airport offers limited but regular scheduled services connecting Eswatini primarily to South Africa, with Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport being the dominant route. Capacity and infrastructure are modest, reflecting the small size of the country's aviation market. Eswatini has invested in developing a second airport, King Mswati III International Airport near Sikhuphe, intended to eventually replace Matsapha as the country's primary international hub, though Matsapha continues to handle active commercial traffic.
