Nuuk International Airport (IATA: GOH, ICAO: BGGH) is the primary airport serving Nuuk, the capital and largest city of Greenland. It handles the majority of Greenland's international traffic and serves as a key hub for connections to Denmark and other Greenlandic towns. The airport is operated by Greenland Airports (Mittarfeqarfiit) and sits approximately 4 kilometers northeast of central Nuuk. Its single runway accommodates both regional turboprop aircraft and larger jet aircraft used on transatlantic routes. A major airport expansion and redevelopment project has been underway to extend the runway and upgrade facilities, enabling larger wide-body aircraft to land directly and reducing reliance on stopover connections through Copenhagen or Iceland.
