Cayenne – Félix Eboué Airport (IATA: CAY, ICAO: SOCA) is the principal international airport serving French Guiana, an overseas region and department of France located on the northeastern coast of South America. It is situated near the town of Matoury, approximately 15 kilometres southwest of the capital city Cayenne. The airport is named after Félix Eboué, a notable French colonial administrator born in French Guiana who became the first Black governor of a French territory. As the primary aviation hub for the territory, it handles the majority of passenger and cargo traffic connecting French Guiana to metropolitan France and neighbouring countries. Air France operates regular long-haul flights linking the airport to Paris-Orly, making it a critical lifeline for residents and for the logistics supporting the Guiana Space Centre at Kourou. The airport also serves regional Caribbean and South American destinations.
