Japan Transocean Air (JTA) is a regional airline based in Naha, Okinawa, Japan, operating scheduled passenger services primarily across the Okinawa island chain and between Okinawa and mainland Japan. The airline serves as a vital lifeline carrier for the remote southwestern islands of Japan, many of which depend heavily on air travel for connectivity. JTA is a consolidated subsidiary of Japan Airlines (JAL), with JAL holding a majority stake in the company.
