The carrier was particularly notable for its operation of the Antonov An-124 Ruslan heavy-lift freighter, making it one of the few commercial operators of this massive aircraft in the world. The airline served a variety of customers including military, government, and commercial freight clients, leveraging the An-124's unique outsize cargo capabilities. Polet also operated passenger charter flights using Ilyushin Il-86 widebody aircraft. Polet Airlines faced significant financial difficulties and operational challenges in the early 2010s.
