Aerolineas Galapagos, commonly known as Aerogal, was an Ecuadorian airline founded in 1986 and headquartered in Quito, Ecuador. The carrier primarily operated domestic routes within Ecuador, with a strong focus on connecting the mainland to the Galapagos Islands, as well as select international routes to destinations in the Americas. In 2012, Avianca Holdings acquired a majority stake in Aerogal, integrating the airline into its expanding Latin American network. Following the acquisition, Aerogal was gradually absorbed into the Avianca brand, with operations and branding transitioned accordingly by around 2013–2014. The airline played a significant role in supporting tourism to the Galapagos Islands, one of Ecuador's most iconic and ecologically sensitive destinations. Its integration into Avianca helped strengthen connectivity for passengers traveling to and from Ecuador.
