Air Bosna was the national airline of Bosnia and Herzegovina, established in the early 1990s following the dissolution of Yugoslavia. The airline operated during an extremely challenging period, as its formative years coincided with the Bosnian War, severely limiting its ability to develop normal operations.
Based in Sarajevo, Air Bosna operated a small fleet serving limited European destinations. The airline struggled financially throughout its existence and ultimately ceased operations in the early 2000s, unable to sustain itself in a competitive post-war environment.
Following Air Bosna's demise, B&H Airlines was established to fill the role of a Bosnian flag carrier, later succeeded by FlyBosnia and other regional operators attempting to serve the country's aviation needs.
