Travellers should calibrate expectations accordingly: Najafgarh offers genuine local character and reasonable value, but not resort-style comfort, extensive amenities, or the reliability of a developed tourism corridor. Family travel to Najafgarh is most comfortably served by booking a full room or apartment rather than shared facilities, as the hostel/dormitory concept is essentially absent here. Families visiting for bird-watching at the lake are best placed in the Dwarka corridor, which offers larger hotel rooms, better-maintained facilities, and easier access to amenities including medical services. When enquiring at local guesthouses, specify the number of adults and children — extra beds (often rollaway or cots) are sometimes available for a supplementary charge but this must be confirmed in advance. Very young children and elderly family members will find the general infrastructure of Najafgarh's budget stock — no lifts, squat toilets at some properties, uneven pavements — a practical challenge.
