Sandspit Airport (IATA: YZP, ICAO: CYZP) is a small regional airport located on Moresby Island in the Haida Gwaii archipelago, off the northern coast of British Columbia, Canada. It serves as the primary air access point for the southern portion of Haida Gwaii, a region of significant Indigenous cultural heritage and natural wilderness. The airport supports scheduled passenger service connecting the island to the BC mainland, as well as charter and general aviation operations. It plays a vital role in the community given the remote nature of Haida Gwaii, where air travel is often the most practical means of reaching the mainland. Sandspit is also a base for access to Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate area attracting ecotourism and research expeditions.
