Villa International Airport Maamigili, designated by IATA code VAM and ICAO code VRMV, is a domestic and regional airport located on Maamigili Island in the South Ari Atoll of the Maldives. It serves as an important hub for air connectivity in the southern atolls, reducing the need for lengthy speedboat transfers from Velana International Airport in Malé. The airport is operated by Villa Air, the private airline group founded by Maldivian businessman Qasim Ibrahim, and primarily supports Villa Air's scheduled domestic routes as well as charter operations. Its relatively long runway compared to many other domestic Maldivian airports allows it to handle turboprop and small jet aircraft. Maamigili's airport plays a key role in supporting tourism in the South Ari Atoll, one of the Maldives' most popular diving and resort destinations.
