Gateway to western Ukraine in the Carpathian foothills.

Location
Uzhhorod, Ukraine
Uzhhorod International Airport (IATA: UDJ, ICAO: UKLU) serves the city of Uzhhorod, the administrative center of Zakarpattia Oblast in far-western Ukraine. Situated near the borders of Slovakia and Hungary, it is one of Ukraine's westernmost commercial airports and holds strategic importance for the Transcarpathian region. The airport has historically operated limited scheduled and charter services, reflecting the relatively small population catchment area and proximity to international airports in neighboring countries such as Košice in Slovakia. Operations at the airport were significantly curtailed following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, which led to the closure of Ukrainian civilian airspace. Prior to the airspace closure, the airport handled domestic Ukrainian routes as well as some seasonal international services. Its future commercial role will depend on the restoration of peace and the reopening of Ukrainian airspace to civilian traffic.
Terminals
The airport has a single small terminal building suitable for limited passenger volumes.
Getting to & from
The airport is located a few kilometers from the city center of Uzhhorod and is accessible primarily by taxi or private vehicle.
