Maturacá Airport (ICAO: SWMK) is a small general aviation airstrip located in the Maturacá region, part of the municipality of São Gabriel da Cachoeira in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. The area is within the Alto Rio Negro Indigenous Territory, home to the Yanomami people, making the airstrip a vital lifeline for communities with no road access. The airport primarily supports missionary flights, medical evacuations, and supply deliveries to remote indigenous villages. Organizations such as FUNAI (Brazil's indigenous affairs agency) and various humanitarian groups rely on the airstrip for logistical operations in this extremely isolated part of the Amazon rainforest. Given its remote location and limited infrastructure, Maturacá Airport does not serve scheduled commercial airline traffic. It operates under Brazilian civil aviation authority (ANAC) oversight and is suited only for small propeller-driven aircraft.
