Stinson Municipal Airport (KSSF) is a public general aviation airport located in the south side of San Antonio, Texas. It serves as one of the busiest general aviation airports in the region, handling flight training, private aircraft, and charter operations. The airport is named after the pioneering Stinson family of aviators, particularly Katherine and Eddie Stinson, who were closely associated with San Antonio's early aviation history. The site has been used for aviation purposes since the early 20th century, making it one of the oldest continuously operating airports in the United States. Stinson Municipal is owned and operated by the City of San Antonio and serves as a reliever airport to San Antonio International Airport. It features two runways and supports a wide variety of general aviation activities including flight schools, skydiving, and corporate aviation.
