Chofu Airport is a small general aviation airport located in Chofu City, western Tokyo, Japan. It operates under the management of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and serves primarily light aircraft, charter flights, and flight training operations. The airport is notably used by New Central Airservice for commuter flights to the Izu Islands and other island destinations off the coast of Tokyo. It plays an important regional role connecting Tokyo with remote island communities that lack access to larger commercial airports. Due to its location within a densely populated urban area, Chofu Airport has strict operational limitations including curfews and restrictions on aircraft types. There are no scheduled international services, and the airport functions largely outside the main commercial aviation network centered on Haneda and Narita airports.
