Orang Airport, also known as Chongjin Airport and designated IATA code RGO with ICAO code ZKHM, serves the Chongjin area in North Hamgyong Province, northeastern North Korea. The airport is located near Hoemun-ri and functions primarily as a domestic facility serving one of North Korea's largest cities, Chongjin. Due to North Korea's extreme isolation and heavily restricted air travel, the airport sees very limited scheduled commercial traffic. Like most regional airports in the DPRK, detailed operational information is largely unavailable to outside observers. The facility is believed to have military as well as limited civilian functions, consistent with the dual-use nature of most North Korean airports. International access to the airport is essentially nonexistent for foreign travelers.
