Pokhara Airport (IATA: PKR, ICAO: VNPK) is a domestic airport serving Pokhara, the second-largest city in Nepal and a major hub for trekkers heading to the Annapurna Conservation Area. Located in the Kaski District, the airport sits at an elevation of approximately 2,713 feet (827 meters) above sea level.
The airport has historically been one of the busiest domestic airports in Nepal, handling flights primarily between Pokhara and Kathmandu as well as some other domestic destinations. It played a central role in connecting tourists and trekkers to the lakeside city before the opening of the nearby Pokhara International Airport in 2023.
With the inauguration of the new Pokhara Regional International Airport (IATA: PWA) in January 2023, much of the traffic shifted to the new facility. The older domestic airport's operational future has been subject to transition planning as Nepal manages the changeover between the two facilities.
Terminals
The airport features a single small terminal building designed to handle domestic passenger traffic.
