Zaporizhzhia International Airport (IATA: OZH, ICAO: UKDE) serves the city of Zaporizhzhia in southeastern Ukraine, an important industrial center located on the Dnieper River. The airport has historically handled domestic routes within Ukraine as well as a limited number of international connections to European destinations. Operations at the airport were severely disrupted following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, which led to the closure of Ukrainian airspace to commercial traffic. The airport's status and infrastructure have been affected by the ongoing conflict, as Zaporizhzhia oblast became a front-line region. Prior to the war, the airport served carriers including Motor Sich Airlines, which was headquartered in Zaporizhzhia and used the airport as a base of operations, alongside other Ukrainian and some international carriers.
