Al Sahra Army Air Field (ICAO: ORSH) is a military airfield located near Tikrit in the Saladin Governorate of Iraq. It served as a significant installation for Iraqi armed forces and has no scheduled commercial aviation operations. The airfield gained international attention during the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and subsequent operations, when coalition forces utilized or monitored various Iraqi military installations in the region. Tikrit, as the hometown of former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein, made the surrounding area a focal point of military activity during that period. Al Sahra remains a military facility with no public passenger terminals, commercial airline services, or civilian transport infrastructure. Access is restricted to authorized military and government personnel.
