Orlando Executive Airport (ORL/KORL) is a publicly owned general aviation airport located approximately three miles east of downtown Orlando, Florida. It serves primarily business aviation, charter flights, and private aircraft, offering a convenient alternative to the much larger Orlando International Airport for travelers not requiring commercial airline service. The airport is owned and operated by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, the same body that manages Orlando International Airport. It features two runways and multiple fixed-base operators (FBOs) catering to corporate and private aviation needs. Historically significant, the site was originally established as a military airfield during World War II and has since transitioned into one of Central Florida's key general aviation facilities, supporting flight training, corporate jets, and air ambulance operations.
