Mostar International Airport (IATA: OMO, ICAO: LQMO) is a civilian and military airport located approximately 6 kilometres south of Mostar, the cultural and historic capital of the Herzegovina region in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The airport serves as the primary air gateway for the southern part of the country, handling both scheduled and charter flights. The airport has a single runway and modest passenger facilities suited to regional traffic. It sees increased activity during summer months, driven largely by the tourism industry attracted to Mostar's famous Stari Most (Old Bridge) and surrounding natural attractions. Historically, the airport has been used by military forces and was of strategic importance during the 1990s Bosnian War. Since then, it has been redeveloped for civil aviation use, with periodic efforts to expand its route network and modernize its infrastructure.
