Nuiqsut Airport (IATA: NUI, ICAO: PAQT) is a small public-use airport serving the remote Iñupiat community of Nuiqsut, located on the North Slope of Alaska near the Colville River delta. The airport is owned by the State of Alaska and provides essential air access to a community that has no road connections to the broader Alaska highway system. The airport supports both community residents and workers connected to nearby oil field operations in the National Petroleum Reserve–Alaska (NPR-A) region. Given the extreme Arctic climate and isolation, air travel is the primary means of transportation for people and supplies year-round. Regional carriers operating small aircraft provide scheduled passenger service, connecting Nuiqsut to Deadhorse (Prudhoe Bay) and other North Slope villages, as well as to Fairbanks and Anchorage via connecting routes.
