Mariupol International Airport (IATA: MPW, ICAO: UKCM) is located near Mariupol, a major port city on the Sea of Azov in the Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine. The airport historically served as the primary air gateway for the Mariupol region, supporting both commercial passenger traffic and cargo operations tied to the city's significant steel and metallurgical industries. Commercial operations at the airport were severely disrupted following the conflict in eastern Ukraine that began in 2014 and were effectively ended by the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. During the siege of Mariupol in spring 2022, the airport and surrounding infrastructure sustained extensive damage. As of the time of writing, the airport is not operational for civilian use.
