Mende-Brenoux Airfield is a small regional airport located near the town of Mende, the prefecture of the Lozère department in south-central France. Situated on the Massif Central plateau at an elevation of approximately 1,031 metres (3,382 feet) above sea level, it is one of the higher-altitude airfields in metropolitan France. The airfield primarily serves general aviation, private flights, and occasional light commercial or charter services. Due to the sparse population of Lozère—France's least densely populated department—the airport sees limited regular airline traffic and functions mainly as a local aviation facility. Mende-Brenoux supports the regional community by providing air access to an area that is geographically isolated, with mountainous terrain making road travel time-consuming.
