Alverca Air Base (ICAO: LPAR) is a military airfield operated by the Portuguese Air Force, located in Alverca do Ribatejo, within the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, approximately 20 kilometres north of Lisbon along the Tagus River. The base has historically been a center of Portuguese aviation industry and military operations. It is closely associated with OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, a major aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) company that operates on the airfield grounds. Alverca Air Base does not serve commercial passenger traffic and has no IATA code. Its primary functions are military aviation support, aircraft maintenance, and aeronautical industry activities.
