Rome Urbe Airport (ICAO: LIRU) is a general aviation aerodrome located in the northern part of Rome, Italy, situated along the Tiber River. It is one of the oldest operational airports in Italy and serves primarily private, charter, and light aircraft traffic rather than scheduled commercial airline services. The airport has historically been used for aeroclub activities, flight training, helicopter operations, and government-related aviation. It operates under restrictions typical of urban aerodromes, including limitations on aircraft size and flight hours. Urbe does not handle significant international or domestic commercial passenger traffic, with that role fulfilled by Rome's main airports, Fiumicino (FCO) and Ciampino (CIA).
